What we Believe About...
-
God: God is the eternal, all-knowing, all powerful
creator of humanity. He is a God of love, relationship and holiness. He created us to love Him and be
loved by Him. However, because He is holy God cannot look on sin. When we choose sin, we separate ourselves from
God. Therefore, God bridged the gap between his holiness and our sin through Jesus Christ his son.
-
Jesus: Jesus is the son of God, fully God and
fully man; our salvation. He is the promised Messiah of the Old Testament and the full revelation of God himself.
He came to this earth, born by the Virgin Mary through the power of Holy Spirit, to free humanity from its sin. Jesus
was the perfect sacrifice for each one of us. He never sinned, although he was fully human. When he died on the
cross our sins were forgiven, all we have to do to receive that forgiveness is accept his personal sacrifice for us.

-
Holy Spirit: Holy Spirit is the third person of the
trinity. He is fully God, and he is God in us. Active throughout eternity as the Spirit of God, he was
made available to all people when Christ died on the cross. God gave us Holy Spirit as our mediator and guide in the
absence of Jesus' physical presence. Once you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, Holy Spirit lives in you and is
your direct connection to God the Father. Holy Spirit gives humanity the direction and power to be the body of Christ,
preaching the name of Jesus to all peoples on the earth.
-
Humanity: We are the created children of God.
We choose to sin, but the promise of salvation is open to all. Each person has the opportunity to choose Jesus Christ
as their Lord and Savior. If we do, we pass from this life ending in death to a never-ending eternal life.
Only through Jesus can we become the creations God intended us to be and have full relationship with Him.
-
Salvation: All people need salvation. Salvation
is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. That means we can't earn our salvation; we can't work our way to heaven.
Good people don't go to heaven; people who believe and serve the Lord Jesus Christ go to heaven and only by his grace.
-
The Bible: The Bible is our sole authority for faith
and practice. It is inspired and protected by the Holy Spirit. It is the Word of God living and active,
and it should be approached with open minds and whole hearts as the guide to God and life with Him.
-
Baptism: is for believers and is by immersion.
It is a symbol of our salvation, not a salvation act in itself.
-
Church: Is a body of baptized believers. Each
church is autonomous and self-governing. Church is necessary for believers as a place of growth, accountability, and
encouragement. The church was instituted by Christ as his body to do his work on this earth while we are waiting for
his return.
