or what you have done in your life (good or bad)
Jesus died for you.

Romans 3:23 states,
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..."
Romans 5:8 continues,
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 6:23 explains further,
"For the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 10:9-10 wraps it up,
"That if you confess with your mouth that, 'Jesus is Lord,'
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
From these scriptures we learn the central truths that allow us to know Jesus Christ.
First, we are all sinners. Good works cannot get us to heaven - good people don't
go to heaven.
No matter how good we are, we still struggle with sin.
How often, even with your best intentions, do you still mess up?
Second, because we are all sinners, we cannot know God who is holy and perfect.
Third, therefore, God had to send us a bridge - someone who could cover the gap between God's
holiness and our sinfulness. He chose to send his own son. Jesus Christ came to earth as a man (Philippians
2:5-11), yet he was still the fullness of God (Colossians 2:9). God and man - the only sinless man ever to have
lived. God took this perfect gift and allowed his own son to die on the cross.
You see, because Christ was the perfect sacrifice when he died, he paid the price for your
sin and my sin; he took your punishment and my punishment: death. What a special gift!
John 3:16 promises, "For God so loved the world (that's you) that he gave his only son (that's
Jesus) that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
To have eternal life in heaven and life with Jesus now, all you have to do is accept this truth:
Jesus Christ died on the cross for my personal sins - I believe that he did, so I
will do my best to live my life for him.
If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, and your heart is moved by
the truth of the Bible copied on this page, please stop right now and talk to your Father in heaven:
Dear God, I believe that Jesus Christ was your son. I believe that he died on the
cross for my sins. I believe that you raised him from the dead and he now reigns with you as Lord. I repent of
my sins, accept his sacrifice and give my life to you. Amen.
Welcome to the Kingdom of God!
