Brandaris Café Honors the Pony League Championship Team with a Special, Lasting Memento

A wonderful gesture from the owners of Brandaris Café for our youth champions! 🫶🏽
On Thursday, June 25, 2026, our Pony League players, who won the title at the 2026 Pre-World Series Mustang 10U Caribbean Zone, were honored by the owners of Brandaris Café during a warm and friendly gathering.
As a lasting tribute to their remarkable achievements, Brandaris Café unveiled a timeline showcasing the team’s impressive journey, from its inception in 2023 to its most recent successes.
The journey began in 2023, when the players—who were 6, 7, and 8 years old at the time—represented Bonaire at the Pinto 8U International Baseball Classic in Marion, Illinois, where they finished as runners-up.
In 2024, virtually the same team—with a few changes to the roster—returned to Marion. This time, they became the undefeated champions of the Pinto 8U International Baseball Classic, a tournament featuring 64 teams.
In 2025, the team traveled to Barranquilla, Colombia, to represent Bonaire at the Mustang 9U Caribbean Zone Pre-World Series. There, too, they won the championship title, qualifying for the Mustang 9U World Series in Vacaville, California. At the world championship, the team finished in an outstanding third place.
In May 2026, the team represented Bonaire at the Mustang 10U Caribbean Zone Pre-World Series, which was held on Bonaire. Once again, the team remained undefeated and won the championship title. With that victory, they earned the right to represent the Caribbean at the Mustang 10U World Series in Lafayette, Louisiana, which will be held in July 2026.
According to the owners of Brandaris Café, it is a great honor to put these young athletes in the spotlight. The timeline is meant to remind them of where their athletic journey began, how far they’ve come, and to inspire them to continue pursuing their dreams and proudly representing Bonaire.
Today, June 26, 2026, the team is leaving for Curaçao for a final phase of preparation ahead of the World Championship in Louisiana.
On behalf of the Bonairean Baseball and Softball Federation (FBSB), we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Brandaris Café for this wonderful initiative. We wish our young champions the best of luck during their preparations and in the upcoming tournament!
