Press conference Bonaire Baseball Week Bonaire 2023
On Saturday, December 9, the Baseball Week Bonaire 2023 press conference took place where more content of the this great was given by various representatives of partners and sponsors, as well as the organizers.
At the table, Indebon’s representative Mr. K. Mitchell de Palm from the government, who indicated they are very happy to be able to host this event again this year in cooperation with the FBSB and with Wolfpack Baseball Foundation. FBSB was represented by Ms. Marionela Josephia as chairperson and Mr. Marionela Josephia as president. Kumar Piar as a representative of the Wolfpack Baseball Foundation.
Also at the table, Ms. Anne-Marie Mercera, Director Fundashon Wega di Number Bonaire as ‘Main Sponsor’ of this event. Also, as the organizer of this press conference (with Mr. Clinton Kirindongo as moderator), FBSB was pleased to welcome WEB NV who was represented by Mr. Clinton Kirindongo. Marlon Manuela. Thanks of course to Plaza Beach & Dive Resort Bonaire for hosting the press conference.
Baseball Week Bonaire 2023 lasts for three days, from December 18 to 20, 2023. On the first two days Dec. 18 and 19, 2023, Baseball Clinics will be provided. On the 18th for children ages 11 to 16 and the next day for children ages 6 to 10. It will take place at the Dudy Josephia Ballpark (AMAS) from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. The clinics are provided by minor leagues from Aruba and, of course, with support from our local baseball coaches. The great honor for Bonaire is to welcome the arrival of two professional baseball players Kenley Jansen and Ozzie Albies on Dec. 17. These two superstars are originally from the neighboring island of Curaçao.
On December 20, a tryout/scouting program will be provided in which sharp eyes will look at our talents in Bonaire.
All involved are super happy and excited about this event and foresee it becoming a success. Thanks, of course, to all the people and agencies who are working on this.
Closing at the press conference, an invitation was extended to all children within the listed ages to apply to participate in Baseball Week Bonaire. Applications are welcome for all children who already play baseball as well as those who want to play baseball. Registration is possible until Dec. 15 at 5 p.m.
